Paint Projects-French Provincial Twin Beds, PB Style Black Media Console

Yesterday, the hubby and I decided it was time to paint a few projects that have been gathering dust in our garage. We had two goals, 1-Create more space in the garage 2-Earn some money for our trip to Utah this summer. It was nice to have help painting and I think they turned out really well.
First up, a set of twin French Provincial beds. Aren't they cute? They will be darling in two little girls rooms. I'm hoping someone with two daughters will buy them so they can be in the same room. I heavily distressed them and love how they turned out!
Next up is this cute media console I found. I love it! Normally I don't paint in black, but I decided this piece needed to be black with gold hardware. I really love how it turned out! The hubby was iffy on leaving the hardware an antique gold, but I LOVE the contrast with the black. We even painted the insides of the two cupboards. I think this will make a standout piece for someone's TV or as a buffet.
The hardware on this piece if possibly my all time favorite hardware. I love the antique looking gold. It makes my heart pitter patter. Isn't it perfection??? How could you paint over it??

Love the drawer pulls too. All furniture should have hardware this perfect.

And there they are. I've been awful about posting projects, but that's because I've been busy living life. Enjoy!

BTW, both pieces are for sale! The twin beds are $350 for both and the console is $325

Spring / Easter Decorations

Spring and Easter decorations always come up early in our house, right after Valentine's. Easter is my very favorite holiday to decorate for!

I LOVE the colors! They coordinate with my house perfectly. It also makes me anxious and excited for SPRING! I'm sooo ready for Spring.

This is a different mirror than I've had hanging above my fireplace mantel. I love it! It's massive! It was actually meant for my Family Room, but it was far too big for its designated space.
Yes, I'm obsessed with mirrors.
Is anything cuter than little chickies? And egg wreaths??
The little chicks and pink egg are my two favorite decorations! I found them both at JoAnns.
My kids and I adore these two little bunnies. We found them at the Dollar Store. Aren't they adorable??
The cute little bunnies are also from the Dollar Store. I made the little plate stands with a glass, plates and a candlestick holder and some strong glue!
I put a fun little nest with eggs in it in a fun hurricane I found at Kohls.
I found the cute little egg basket at Salvation Army last year for a dollar. I made the little green plants out of food cans, plants from JoAnns and burlap.

Seriously, aren't those little chicks the cutest thing ever?? Happy early Easter!! Better early than never, like my V Day decorations. Sorry but I've been incredibly busy with work lately and of course with my two little kiddos. I hope my pics have gotten better for your viewing pleasure. ;)

Christmas Decorating!

Merry late Christmas!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! This post is super late, it's been a busy couple of months! Here are a few pics of our Christmas decor. The Christmas banner above we made at a Relief Society activity. The little red ornaments hanging on the mirror I bought from Michaels for $1.
Those cute little glass presents I bought at the dollar store a few years ago. I printed out the letters PEACE on some cute Christmas scrapbook paper.
The little gift boxes on the right I bought at an after Christmas clearance sale at Wal-Mart. Yes, everything in this was super cheap. That's how I roll. ;)
And last, but not least a picture of my little kidlets. I love this picture! I want to blow it up on a canvas and have it hanging by the tree every year. I love the magic of Christmas through Childrens eyes. It's amazing!! I'll post my Valentine's decor soon. xo
